
More than 30 Journalists of different Media were graduated today from a 5-week training Course and received their certificates. This training course which was named “Journalists and Laws” was held by the Afghanistan's National Journalists Union with the help of Poland Embassy in Kabul.
During the course the Journalists were trained on the various laws and regulations related to Media activities including Constitution of Afghanistan, Crimes against internal and external security, Elections Law and Taxation law.
Mohammad Faheem Dashty Executive director of ANJU says: “Most of the Journalists believe that the Mass Media Law is the only law dealing wih the activities of Media in Afghanistan, but they must be informed that other Laws in Afghanistan have some articles about the framework of Media and the Journalists must be aware of it so that they don’t face problems.”
During this course, Journalists were also trained on code of Ethics and code of conducts.
according to the preplaned program of the ANJU these courses will be launch in four big cities(Herat, Mazar-e Sharif, jalalabad and Khost).
As it planed, from Tuesday, This period of training course which include 22 Journalists will be lunched In Nengarhar Province and after a week the same program will also begin in Khost provinces.
In the first half of December the same training program will be lunched with the same specification in Herat and Balkh Provinces.
In recent Months the Afghanistan's National Journalists Union launched various training courses in Kabul where dozens of Journalists participated.
ANJU Officials says: “In the following months, some other training courses would be launch in Kabul as well as some provinces”
