Mohsen Hashemi’s wife calls for execution of her husband's murderers

Wife of Mohsen Hashemi, the radio announcer of voice of Nijrab Radio is calling the judicial officials for execution of her husband's killers.

According to Ms. Hashemi, judiciary and judicial institutions should not be indifferent or negligence towards the murder of her husband.

On the 2.5.2013 this year Mohsen Hashemi was disappeared and his body was found 18 days after in a well 500 meters far from his home in the village of Paryat. This village is located six kilometers far from the center of Nijrab district. 

Judge of the Primary Court in Kapisa province, says that the two brothers of Mohammed Mohsen Hashemi were sentenced to 16 years in prison on charges of murder.

The Kapisa primary court officials say, father and another brother of Mr. Hashemi were acquitted on lack of criminal evidence.

According to forensic investigations that have taken place over the corpse of Mr. Hashemi, the victim died of a deep wound caused by a sharp object and pistol bullets.

Nijrab primary Court stated that Maulvi Muhammad Asif 37 years old and Waseem 28-year-old two victim's elder brothers were sentenced to 16 years in prison for alleged involvement in the murder of Mr. Hashimi.

Judge Khudai Dad, head of Nijrab court, said: "The decree is issued based on act   395of the penal code, but the parties to the case have the right to take action against it in the second and third courts."

Mrs. Hashemi, is not satisfied to the decision of this court.

Abdul Mutalib Hamid, concessioner and managing director of Radio Voice of Nijrab said that Mrs. Mohsen Hashemi told him " all the accused people are involved in the murder and they deserve death penalty."

He added that Mrs. Hashemi asked her name not to be disclosed due to security considerations and household matters. She insisted that all (Father and brothers) are involved in the murder, and also she was concerned about the corruption in the judicial institutions. She said that they are free and may harm her.

Mohammad Dawood, Nijrab district prosecutor also said, the decrees were unfair and he is determined to act against it.

He added: “after investigating the offenders, according to the article 395 of criminal act, we asked the judge to sentence Maulavy Asef and Waseem to death or life imprisonment, and sentence Hashemi’s father and his other prother to the same penalties due to their involvement in the crime. But the judge released the decree based on the article 396 which is not that much strict.”

According to him, based on the testimony of neighbors, Hashimi was damn for what is called rebel from demands of his parents and this problem has worsen the hostilities between them.

Currently, Mrs. Hashimi is living in her father’s home with her one-year-old, young daughter.
