Mr. Husain Nazari, 3TV channel reporter, was beaten up next to Chaman Huzury stadium yesterday around noon. The accident took place while Mr. Nazari was leaving a press conference in National Olympic Committee (NOC) with other reporters.
The assailants identities are not clear by now And it’s said that the attackers have taken
"Negah" TV channel reporter's recording camera as well.
Some reporters, especially in social media, believe that there is a hand of NOC officials behind this accident.
Meanwhile, NOC officials deny any involvement in the accident of beating 3TV channel reporter while accepting war of words between President of NOC and the reporter of 1TV during press conference.
In a declaration of NOC yesterday evening it was mentioned that "NOC President, in the presence of 16th district Police Commander, had promised the reporters to find the aggressors.”
According to the NOC officials, people who want to bring the reputations of this administration under question, assaulted those reporters in order to show that the reporters are attacked by sportsmen of NOC.
Journalist organizations and reporters’ support institutions want the identities of the attackers to be revealed while strictly condemn the attack.
Mr. M. Faheem Dashty Executive Director of Afghanistan's National Journalists Union said: “violence against journalists is not acceptable and of course is felony.”
He adds: “Kabul Police in close cooperation with NOC should find the doers of this crime and punish them so that nobody could offend reporters again.”
