Media thanks police for facilitating coverage

The Afghan National Police provided unprecedented support to media workers who covered a recent terrorist attack on Kabul International Airport. ANP forces helped media workers gain access close to the site of the attack, enabling journalists to film and report on the event. 

 Mirwais, a reporter said: “Police helped us cover the event and we appreciate their support in this regard.”

Journalist associations and media groups also thanked the police for their positive role. ANJU Executive Director Faheem Dashty said: “The police response during the terrorist attack is commendable. In the past month, media representatives have worked closely with the Interior Ministry to improve the working environment for media."
