Consultative meeting for the drafting of copyright law richness in Kandahar

Consultative meeting held to vote on the draft copyright law (copyright) in presence of the author of the scientific, artistic, literary,

scholarly and religious in Kandahar. At the meeting, representatives from nearly twenty different classes of authors, were present on all draft materials and discussed the copyright law.

In 1388, the first law on copyright in the form of decree went into effect which had many deficiencies.

In the past year, the institution of peace studies and development of Afghanistan in cooperation with the Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union has worked on the recommendation for changes in the law.

In the first step, a group of authors in art, religious, scientific, literary research in Kabul invited and worked for nearly three months on the initial design and proposals to modify the copyright law.

Then, in the last few months, meeting with representatives of the trade unions in the provinces of Herat and Balkh was held on (Thursday last week), the similar meeting has been held in Kandahar.

Before this, also suggestions/proposals have been sent to the government to be used in the amendment of the copyright law.

Meetings will be scheduled to held in the provinces such as Nangarhar and Bamyan also in this drafting, after all the last draft proposal will prepared and provided to the government and National Assembly in big meeting in Kabul city.
