A number of journalists in Helmand province met Major General Muhammad Yasin the governor of the province.
In this meeting which was also attended by Abdul Ghafar Safi the commander of Helmand police, officials of NDS, and acting head of Information and Culture Department of that province; the journalists discussed the challenges in the face of media activities.
The preservation of the lives of journalist and access to information were deemed as major challenges in this respect.
Meanwhile, Major General Muhammad Yasin the governor of Helmand emphasized on regular activities of the Joint Committee in that province. He highlighted the role of the Joint Committee of Media and Government in addressing the challenges faced by journalists.
General Yasin appreciated the activities and praised the sacrifices made by journalists in Helmand province and assured the attendants of a broad cooperation in regards to the freedom of speech.
