This morning complaints commission of Senate conducted a meeting with presence of culture minister Sayed Makhdum Rahin and number of media representatives and syndicate reporters.
Seediqullah Towhidi head of media watch,Mir Hider motaher head of ANJU publications, Seediqullah Ahmad Zadeh Chief Editor of Tolo Tv,Danish Krukhail head of Pajhwak news agency and many other representatives
of media were present In this meeting .
In meeting the following points were suggested to be considered:
- Mass media commission which has been enacted on codes 42 and 43 of media law has to be formed.
- Illegal media complaints commission must repeal.
- based on article 41 of mass media law, minister of culture has to allow two elected members of media and syndicate of reporters to get the membership of media high council.
The senators of C.C.S , particularly Dr Zulmi Zabuli head of this commission has emphatically supported the rightful demands of media.
Though, over the past three years culture minister has been ignoring the lawful requests of media and journalists, In today's meeting he requested media and syndicate reporters to introduce two individuals into "media high council".
In course of one and half month media supporters and syndicate reporters have put out considerable efforts as to complaints and execution of entire mass media laws, especially parts of article 41, and articles 42 and43 of mass media laws that was finally accepted by culture minister in today's meeting of Senate complaints commission.
