During a trip by the board of Joint Committee of the Media and Government on Saturday and Sunday this week to Herat province, the problems of the Provincial Media and Government Committee in Herat province were resolved.
The joint committee of medias and the government was established as the proposed of Afghanistan journalists and media organizations federation three years ago for the aim to obtains the security and safety to Journalists, medias and to fix their problems, due to the directive, this committee should be extending to 33 provinces of Afghanistan.
The formation of the joint provincial committees in other provinces did not encounter to any particular problem, but meantime, the Herat Journalists before available the directive of the committee and without the attention for instruction to the Journalists representatives in the joint committee, they held election to select their members to joint committee and then the federation introduced the representatives to the membership of Herat joint committee which affected the objection of Herat media union.
Therefore, in the last months the federation has decided to review the 33 provinces joint committee representatives, due to this, once again the Herat Journalists held elections and selected new representatives to the committee for Herat province, but they insisted to their decision, although, they understood which their decision was on the opposite of directive.
To overcome these problems, on a trip to the Herat province which chaired by publishing deputy for the ministry of information and culture, the national security council delegates, the independent directorate of local governance representatives and the Afghanistan Journalists and media organizations federations were the members of the board.
Accordingly, the several meeting which was held with the headships for the Herat province, collective of the Journalists and the Herat province Journalists representatives till finally have taken decide to the outcome of the election to the Herat Journalists representative should be canceled and the federation of Journalists due to the committee directive introduces delegates for the Herat committee.
However, the leadership of the federation have declared to the earnest will introduces the slightly representatives for Herat province joint committee, so that the committee activities enormously done as other provincials committees.
