Mr. Zalmay Latifi, who is an engineer in profession, at the same time, director of “Enikas” private RTV channel rescued by security forces. He was kidnapped by unknown gunmen and detained for the last five months.
After his kidnappings in Jalalabad city of Nangarhar, the public along with the local power brokers and media family of the country protested over the incident. Yet, until now, there was no information available regarding his whereabouts.
Finally, because of sincere efforts of security forces, he is now rescued and living freely. Therefore, Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union (ANJU) congratulates afghan security forces, Mr. Latifi’s family, and media family of the country on this celebration.
