Tommorow, Friday, May 3, 2019 is the World Press Freedom Day.
All members of media family including journalists, reporters, producers, media directors, and media sister organizations over past 18 years suffered immensely and put all their efforts together to provide a safe and inspiring environment for free press so to circulate accurate information to the public.
Being the oldest and largest media organization in the country, ANJU seeks this opportunity to appreciate the history making sacrifices of the Afghan journalists and media outlets in ensuring a free world for the country’s journalism. Hundreds of losses incurred to provide a free flow of information to the public. ANJU, therefore, re-announces its long-standing commitment to continue being with the media family and supporting it in any terms.
That is the reason why free press and free media is among the top agendas of current peace talks. And we believe no one has the right to marginalize or ignore the values we have reached with blood, sweat and tears.
ANJU believes the only way to secure and promote such values, is the united voice of media family, the family who is one of the main victims of war and conflict over the last 18 years.
ANJU, once again, congratulates the day to all members of media family and hope the upcoming year will be the year of journalism and media.
