In an event, which gathered local authorities as well as local journalists and reporters of Laghman, World Press Freedom Day was celebrated. This event was organized by the provincial office of Afghanistan’s National Journalists’ Union (ANJU). Mr. Ateequllah Quraishi, provincial manager of ANJU in Laghman commemorated the work of journalists in this province.
“If journalists face challenges, they should inform the media supporting agencies on time to overcome such challenges.” He added. The participants of the event asked ANJU for more capacity building initiatives.
