Tensions between journalists and Takhar police commander was terminated

In meeting that was held up to resolve the tensions between some of reporters and Takhar police commander, the two sides given commitment to the end of these tensions.


Nearly a month ago, some of Takhar province reporters complained about the police commander bad behavior against journalists to the Media federation. This complaint was sent to the Media and Governance Joint Committee. In response, to represent a person from ministry of Interior and the Media federation committee were sent to the Takhar province to examine the case.


Fahim Dashti, who attended the delegation of media Federation committee in the composition of the board, says: “ with both sides of the case held a separate meeting. In the meeting their tensions parties’ opinions, suggestions, and criticism were assessment.”


Dashti continued: “There was two options, first that case was resolved on that place, otherwise the reports of the investigations was being transferred to authorities in Kabul for final decision, both parties agreed to the first option. therefore, the meeting was held with the presence of protest reporters, police officials, and representatives of the Takhar civil society, where both parties committed to the existing tensions at the end of the meeting.”


According to Dashti speech, The detailed report of these assessment was written by the authorities who were sent to Takhar province and then shared with the joint media committee, government, reporters, and tensions parties in Takhar province.
