
The professional immunity training course for Afghanistan reporters, who had been held for two days in Helmand province, was completed.
In this educational program, more than 30 active journalists participated from local and national media and used the content of this educational program.
This workshop was launched in connection with a variety of risk that threatens reporters during work, work environment, and work trips. In this educational program, immunity solutions were taught to participants from these kinds of risks.
The participants of this workshop were pleased about the content presented in two educational days, and said, this kind of training program is very useful for journalism activities.
Mr. Shokrollah Shakeri, head for the Afghanistan Union National Journalists (AUNJ) in Helmand province, launched such programs as useful in the raising reporter’s awareness and their immunities, and said: “These educational programs can provide appropriate solutions against journalist’s threats and to inhibit these threats for reporter’s activities”.
However, the immunity workshops of Afghan reporters have yet to be launched in nearly 20 Afghanistan provinces and participated in hundreds of active journalists in these training programs. also, these educational programs are scheduled to be held in some of the other provinces as well.
At the end of the workshop, the “Guidelines immunity for Afghanistan reporters” and the Afghanistan Union National Journalists (AUNJ) certificate was distributed for the training Program participants.
