Given the importance of covering the various stages of the election, the Afghanistan National Journalists Union of (ANJU), in cooperation with the European Union Election Support Center (EUES), has produced guidelines in Persian and Pashto language for the Afghanistan journalists and media.
The guidelines incorporate various election-related issues and provide some recommendations for journalists and the media, given the global experience of the elections and the current state of the country.
The content of this guide has been trained in different provinces for hundreds of active local, national, and international media reporters. At the same time, the instruction, previously produced in Farsi and Pashto, was distributed and broadcast to 1000 active journalists in the majority of Afghanistan’s provinces.
The National Union of Journalists of Afghanistan calls on the country’s journalists and media to carefully consider this guidance in the upcoming elections.
