An experienced Journalist is beaten up in Kabul
Mr. Haji Zabihullah Alam one of the experienced journalists of Bakhtar state news agency has been beaten up by unknown armed people yesterday.
Mr. Alam was beaten up in a locality related to eighth district of Kabul city by two unknown armed people while he was heading toward his home. Meanwhile the offenders have stolen some money and other stuffs of Mr. Alam.
Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union, while criticizes the work of security institutions of the country in ensuring secure environment for journalists, asks them to capture the attackers on Mr. Alam as soon as possible.
The ANJU also demands journalist institutions and civil rights defenders to increase pressure on security organizations of the country, by their joint and coordinated efforts, in order to prevent such offending acts on journalists in the future.
