ANJU statement on Murdered officer of" Nejrab's voice" local Radio
Last night the dead body of Mohd Mohsen Hashmi, officer of Nejrab local Radio was found close by to his house.
It's been more than two weeks that Hashmi was disappeared ، though his family has Informed security police in this regard, where they have not get any help by security institutions .
ANJU strongly denounced this brutal act ,and demanding from security institutions to recognized and punish the murderers.
In the past couple of months, the violence against journalists has been increasing unprecedentedly, and this sick situation causes serious concerns among journalists and media supporter institutions.
ANJU, believes as we are getting closer to the Presidential election and withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan, further than before the violence and threatens will be increasing against media,
To prevent, avoid violence and to ward off these risks, ANJU put forward the following suggestions.
-Media supporter organizations , specifically Afghanistan Journalists federation has to put pressure on Government officials to put honest efforts to secure the safety of reporters and media workers.
- Media workers and reporters, without shortness in their duties, has to be attentive for their life safety.
