Afghanistan Journalists Federation planning implement new ways to protect the life and career of media activists

Afghanistan Journalists Federation which is a consist of many media sponsor and advocacies, announced in a press conference that for the safety of journalist life and career, they will plan and implement different programs.

At a press conference which this federation was held in response to the terrorist attack on the Tolo TV staff transport bus, the leadership of this federation said that in coordination with the government and media owners, they will plan and create better life and career security for the journalists and media activists.

Afghanistan Journalists Federation also announces in the the statement, ten sections which needs change in policy in covering of terrorist activity reports, emphasizes to deal with the country law specially specific content of “law of domestic and foreign security crimes” by domestic and foreign media regarding the reports and news belonging to terrorist groups, ensuring of rights and privileges of journalists from the media organizations on which they work, and mentioned more this kind of policies.

The statement also said, the media who do not obey the suggestions and proposals of this federation will be disqualified of this federation’s support.

Scheduling in the coming days, the Afghanistan Journalists Federation will have some steady meeting with the government officials, representative and owner of media institutes, social society organizations and international media advocacy organizations of free media and freedom of expression about protection of journalist’s life and careers and new policies of covering terrorist activities and provide them to the government.
