In connection with the international day of perpetrators of crimes against journalists.

The Afghanistan government should take the perpetrators of crimes against journalists to court.

 

Today the 11th of Aqrab Solar year, is according to the 2nd of November which is named the international day to end of impunity for perpetrators of crimes against journalists by UNESCO.

Journalism is the method/way of unraveling the illegal and illegitimate attitudes and practices of the individuals and groups which mainly influence of authority in the system of the countries and they are sentenced causing displeasure with them to make sure and try their level best to stop them for such disclosures.

In this reason these individuals and groups naming the journalists as their enemy and try to violence against them and investigate them. In many cases they trying to kill and threaten the journalists. Working in the war zone is also another warning which threatens the journalists, parties mostly to curtain their crimes, they assassinates and threats the journalists.

In Afghanistan which the country situation is not good and people and groups who are involved in the organized crimes such as drug trafficking and corruption and grabbing the private or public lands and or kidnapping, robbery and committing other crimes or are involved in other organized crimes, they are more and the journalists are mostly under threatens of them and they try to threaten them.

The threat posed recently by the terrorist group, took place against a number of media, are examples of the risks to the journalists in Afghanistan and cases without destiny, killing nearly 40 journalists in the past fourteen years are another example that shows being no serious of the government about prosecuting the perpetrators of crimes against journalists and the impunity for journalists.

Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union while solidarity with all those in every corner of the our land who supports journalist or are stand against the perpetrators against journalists and declares that they will support and cooperate in all possible ways and they will not hesitate for any kind of cooperation with the journalists and reporters.

We once again urge the leaders of the national unity government to pursue case of murdered journalist and make arrangements to prevent the recurrence of crimes against journalists.
