In a social media page which is belongs to the Taliban, the group threatened 1TV and Tolo TV.
In this message, the media employees and activists are considered as enemy and will be threatened as enemies and terrorists will target their office as their enemy.
The message said that the neutral media will be respected by the Taliban and the group has always tried to support them to continue their media activities.
This is not the first time that the terrorist group is threatening the journalists and media stations.
Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union said that the people who has not the terroristic thoughts have always been considered as enemy by them and Union announces that the journalists and media will never be afraid of such threats and will always continue to their activities.
In our point of view when the terrorist says that we will support the neutral media is absolutely a lie, Taliban threats in Kunduz clashes which destroyed and burned of 15 media stations and pursuit of home by home of journalists and media activists in Kunduz shows that, terrorist will profit from media until they cover their terrorist activities and anytime they get chance will announce their status with the journalists and media activists as their enemy.
Right now more than 100 journalists has left their home/city due to Taliban continues threats and refuged to provinces such as Kabul, Balkh, Baghlan and Takhar.
Taliban is not the only terrorist group which have such threat with journalists and media, but another terrorist groups such as (Daesh) also have same threats with the journalists and media stations.
Two days ago, the offices of radio Killid and radio Safa in Nangarhar city also bomb attacked by the terrorist group name (Daesh) due to not broadcasting their terror activities as the terrorist groups wanted them to broadcast/publish their terror activities as a news.
Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union insists that terrorist sees any non-terrorist as their enemy and demanding from journalists and media stations to continue the discloser of terrorist group identities as per the commitment to the principle of freedom of expression and their professional standards
