Serious assistance to support journalists in Kunduz.

After the last several days of clashes in Kunduz province, a number of active journalists working with Kunduz local, national and international Medias have been forced to leave the city and take refuge to the provinces of Kabul, Balkh, Baghlan, Takhar and Badakhshan.

The good news is so far we have not received any news of physical harm to any journalists.

Some of these journalists are still covering the news in Kunduz and neighboring provinces of Kunduz to pay obligations in terms of the aware and information to the people which is admirable.

Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union while trying hard in all possible ways to support the Kunduz journalist, and asks the national and international institutes who support journalists to assist these journalists who have been forced to leave their cities with their families.

Also we are requesting the government specially the ministry of information and culture, office of the president and office of the chief executive officer to support these displaced journalists.

In case of interest to support these journalists and need more and detailed information about them, Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union is ready to cooperate in all ways with the supporters supporters.
