Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union would like to congratulate all Afghans for holding a successful elections and active participation of people in this historic event.
It was obvious that Media and journalists struggled to cover and aware the people of moment to moment changes in elections.
ANJU, emphasizes that, in a democratic society the Media and Journalists should have such a role but, on other hand by considering the problems of Journalists in the country it appreciates their work.
It also appreciated boycotting of terrorists news on elections day and we believe that boycotting terrorist’s news led to the higher participation of people in elections.
ANJU expects transparent and fair elections results to lead for a new Government in the country and hopes that the new government would respect the freedom of expression and the rights of Journalists and Media like past 13 years.
