A terrorist attack destroyed the building and equipment of Radio Qalam in Kama district of Nangarhar Province. Afghanistan's National Journalists Union is pleased that there was no casualties, but it strictly condemns violence and targeting the Journalists and media.
We request more effort of security institutions to provide security for journalists and Media activists in the country. ANJU emphasizes that disregarding of Ministry of Information and culture is just the reason to increase of violence against Journalists and Media, and requests the Ministry of Information and Culture to be questioned by National Council.
The terrorist attack on Radio Qalam is at least the sixth attack on Journalists and Media in the past two weeks but there is no reaction from the Ministry of Information and Culture regarding to these incidents.
