Since two days, National Television broadcasts were suspended in Ghor province.
This action was taken place after the attempt of Ghor province municipality for usurping the property of National TV.
Media atavists have said that suspension of National Television broadcasts which is the only active television in Ghor province deprived the residents to access to information.
Afghanistan's National Journalists Union request the institutions specially provincial affair deportment and Ministry of Information and Culture to act quickly for starting the rebroadcast of National TV.
In Other hand, ANJU also appreciates the suspension of Dr. Zulmai Rassoul’s campaign director in Herat Province.
Mohammad Daoud Norzay, campaign director of Dr. Rassoul in Herat Province treated violently with at least two active journalist and arrested them for few hours.
In response to the reactions of media activists in Herat and Kabul, Dr. Rassoul’s campaign announced that Mr. Norzay has been suspended.
ANJU requests presidential and provincial election candidates and their campaign activists to respect freedom of expression, free flow of information and to avoid violence against journalists and media activists.
