Death of Mohammad Ismail Akbar

The body of Mohammad Ismail Akbar, author, journalist and political and cultural famous veteran of Afghanistan has been buried today in Shohadai Saleheen of Kabul. Mr. Akbar after a long period of illness in the age of 64’ died yesterday.

Besides his talks, writings and analysis of political, cultural and social activities, he left a book called “Fasle Akher” (The final Chapter).

Mr. Akbar was famous in different regime of Afghanistan due to his fight to political reforms and imprisoned during the reign of Hafizullah Amin.

He besides his career was administrating magazines “Peace” (Nedai Islam) and “Tolo” Afghanistan.

Mr. Akbar had depth studies in literature, mysticism and philosophy and known as leading experts in the field of contemporary of Afghanistan.

Mohammad Ismail Akbar was born in the year 1330 in the village of Hyderabad, Aqcha district of Jawzjan province.
