Abdul Munir Hamidi director of Mehr local TV in Badakhshan has been beaten by the people belonging to a member of provincial council and police officers. Mr. Hamidi said, he was beaten while he got informed that part of the Saudi Aid to the poor people is getting out from warehouse illegally during the night and wanted to cover it up with his colleague.
According to Mr. Hamidi, Miss Iran Gul, distribution responsible for Saudi Aid to the poor people, ordered the armed people belonging to Mr. Talabuddin member of provincial council of Badakhshan, who were present there to stop Mr. Hamidi and his colleague from taking picture, beat them and destroy their camera.
The day after incident, once again, during the coverage of the protest against looting of Aid, Mr. Hamidi faced violence of police officers.
Its said that, during the protest at last one person was killed and two other were injured while the police fired to disperse the protesters.
