Last night, unidentified gunmen start gunfire on Salem Wahdat at front of his house, but he was not hurt in the incident.
According to Mr. Wahdat, in this attempt, his brother in law was seriously wounded and is now hospitalized in a Kabul hospital.
Kabul police officials confirms this incident and says still we don’t have information about the attackers and the reason behind this attack. Police officials emphasize that their investigation is running on this regard.
Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union called the attack disturbance and asks the security institutions, beside their investigations, they should have more attention to the journalists’ safety, particularly Mr. Salem Wahdat.
In the same time, Mr. Wahdat is the head of archive of Foreign Ministry.
