
Media professionals today in a press conference shows their position against the Taliban threats. Two days ago, on a social network page belonging to the Taliban group, they had new threats for Tolo and 1TV Network.
In the statement which was published on this page, both the media were nominated as Taliban’s enemy and claimed that they will have military attack/operation against their offices and employees.
At the press conference held today, dozens of media executives and officials, director of media supporter institutions and media sponsors were joined and warned the Taliban that their threats to the journalists and media will be known as a threat to all journalists and media of Afghanistan and announce that if the Taliban continues such threats, they will boycott the Taliban activities on the media.
In the statement announced at the press conference today, the government, national and international organizations are asked to protect and support the media and journalists in Afghanistan.
In the statement also said that the media and journalists in Afghanistan will never give up to such threats and warns and they will continue their activities as per the commitments and their professional standards.
