Officials of Radio Killid and Radio Safa says that last night these two radios has been attacked with bombs.
Radio Killid is a popular radio station broadcasting in 17 provinces and radio Safa is a local radio of Nangarhar province.
Najiba Ayubi director of radio Killid says that before this, people from the address of Islamic State (Daesh) threatened the officials of radio Killid of terrorist attack on this station.
She says; their colleagues received continues calls and asked to publish the terrorist activity of the (Daesh) group, but their denial led to many threatens and after all the yesterday’s incident happened.
According to Ms. Ayubi; after this incident since the NDS officials and secret services were present in Killid office, again the radio officials received treats from the same address and says this is the beginning and says if you don’t consider to broadcasting of (Daesh) activities, they will have further attacks on their office and employees will take place.
However, Firdous Hazraty directory of Safa says that they have not received any such threatens before and was not expecting such attack on their office.
Yesterday’s attack applied damages to the offices of these two radio but fortunately not to the life of any employee.
Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union has announced measures for further security to these two media stations.
Union official says; security agencies will be contacted to make arrangement for further security of media in order to protect them.
