Yesterday the national journalism ethics has been approved in a large meeting participating of journalists and media professionals.
In this conference which was arranged by Journalists Federation and media institutions, more than 400 reporters and moderators of the media from the 34 provinces was participated.
The participate of this conference the drafted the national ethical of journalists by the journalists’ federation has been carefully reviewed by grouped people and at the end, the participants voted for the final text of the standard ethic of journalists.
Trying to prepare the national ethical standards of journalism was in progress in the past years, finally since 6 months’ consultative meetings with journalists and media worker in the 7 big cities have been held and in all of these meetings was including the representative of neighboring provinces.
In yesterday’s conference, as per the text of consultative meetings from the 7 big provinces and the comments of the conference participants, the final text of the ethic has been approved
The federation of journalists and media institutes in Afghanistan as well as the participant of the yesterday’s conference pledged that after this these laws will be implemented during the media and journalists’ professional activities.
Ethical standards of journalism plays the major rule in the media and journalism activity in the county and in democratic countries, and the approval of this ethic was one of the biggest step in the journalistic history of Afghanistan.
