Increase of Taliban attacks on media stations in Kunduz.

Has time passes over the fighting between the terrorist and government forces in Kunduz city, more concerning news regarding terrorist attacks over the media stations in Kunduz are broadcasting. Authorities of Radio Shabana “A private radio station devoted for women” and Kayhan Radio Station “A radio station devoted for youths” claims that the Taliban has attacked over the building over these two radios which both the stations was located in the same building and has destroyed their equipment’s or taken with themselves.

Mrs. Zarghona Hassan who is the owner of this radio station says: The Taliban attacked on our studios and destroyed our equipment’s or toke them with themselves.

According to Mrs. Hassan: The area where these radio stations are located are still under Taliban control and the employee of these radio stations are still unable to go to the area and estimate the exact amount of damages on the stations.

Mrs Zarghona Hassan also received threats from the Taliban, she says: Before the Edi Al-Adha, I have received threats from the Taliban due to broadcasting programs related to building trust between the people and security forces.

In past days also there was many news regarding the Taliban attacks on the private media stations in Kunduz city.

Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union expects that upon the government take control over the Kunduz, they help them to restore the public and private media station activities in the city, and announce that these media stations needs urgent assistance to restart their activities.

ANJU officials says that the national and international organization must help these media stations after their detailed investigations.
