Taliban have put the private radio Kunduz building on fire and has destroyed or stolen its assets. Hidayatullah Zeyarmal director for broadcasting of Radio Kunduz Station said: This radio station was located in the building of foundation for culture and media of Kunduz city, Afghanistan, and Taliban has burned the rooms belongs to this media station and the rooms belonging to the culture and media.
Mr. Zeyarmal Said: The broadcasting of this radio station was stopped on the first day of Taliban attack on Kunduz but two days ago the building of this radio has been put on fire by the Taliban and the equipment of radio is burned or stolen by them.
Before this, on the first days of Taliban attack on Kunduz the building of private Radio “Radio Roshani” and “Kunduz local Radio Television Network” was put on fire and the equipment of these two media station was destroyed.
Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union express their concern regarding the attacked on the media stations in Kunduz, ANJU officials says: they are trying to start their investigations/surveys on the situation upon improvement of the security situations in Kunduz and do the needy procedures to help the media stations which are affected by the terrorist attacks.
