The National TV journalist in Ghor province, Yaseen Azhand is sentenced to four years jail and a compensation of Afg45,000 by the local court of this province. Mr. Azhand is being convicted of a financial related case in this TV. His family says that the order of this court is unfair and they want to transfer the case for an appeal in Kabul courts.
Azhand has started a hunger strike against the decision o this court and says to his family that if the government doesn’t consider his protest, the government will be the responsible body for the sequences.
Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union is in contact with the High Court of the country and is paying efforts to fulfill the request of Mr. Azhand’s family demand on transferring the related case to Kabul and hold a fair court trial on this case.
