Jawed Yousufi, Arezoye Shab e 13 TV’s reporter was targeted of unknown armed men on 5th November, 2014 and got wounded. Yousufi was attacked when he was heading towards his home located in Pul e Surkh e, Kabul and while was severly beaten up and stubbed in stomach.
This accident occurred at 7:30 o clock on Tuesday night. The representatives of Arezo TV say they have transferred Yousufi to hospital after the accident and indicate that now his health situation is better. According to Yousufi, when the unknown men attacked him, told him that they know he is a reporter and that is why he is being attacked.
Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union (ANUJ) wants the Kabul police to recognize the elements behind this case.
According to ANUJ representatives, they are in touch with the Kabul police.
The Kabul Police Directory has told the ANUJ that the case is under investigation and will share the results as soon as possible.
