
Number journalists have been beaten and their equipment are destroyed in today’s demonstration in connection to he transit of Turkmenistan Electricity in west part of Kabul. The reporters say; when the protesters wanted to attack the security forces and they wanted to film it, the protesters start violence against them.
Masoud Hosseini, one of the nation’s famous photographer who was subjected to violence wrote on his facebook page, the organizer of the protests claims that the violence against journalists is not the work of Roshnaye Movement members.
But a number of other journalists who were the victims of this violence by this movement’s members says that they have been beaten by the members of this movement.
Kabul police has confirmed the violence against journalist in today’s protests, police officials say that the protestors violated the rules and at Pole Artal area they attacked the security forces by throwing stones on them.
Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union which condemns the violence against journalist says, the police should find out the people who violence against journalists and bring them into law.
Faheem Dashty CE of this Union says; beside the statement issued regarding this violence, has sent official letter to security officials and will follow up this case with security institutes.
