Mohammad Edris Amini the executor of the program “ Rawzana” Saqi local TV was stubbed by unknown people in Herat province yesterday evening. Amini says that he was attacked by two motorbike riders in his shop near his house. Amini part time works in his family shop. He says: the attackers were two that one of them got down from his motorbike and after entering to his shop immediately start stubbing him by a knife.
Amini who was injured in head, chest, hand and his face, was evacuated to hospital by assistance of the local police and after treatment was discharged.
Following of this incident, in charge of the Afghanistan’s national journalists union in Herat along with the members of the committee of predicative entities of the province went to Amini’s house and after talking to him they had a meeting with the headquarters of Herat police too.
SamiullahQatra the head of police in Herat in the session with the joint committee of predicative entities of Herat said that he is aware of the incident but he promised that he will start investigation about the incident and about the doers it.
Nonetheless police of Herat has found no information about the reason and doers of the incident yet. Amini whose program is about the elections says: after this incident the stimulus of working in media is taken from him and currently he is in fear of the attackers not to attack him again.
A day before this RahmatullahMarjankhil the independent journalist who wanted to make report of the minister of higher education’s tour to Ghazni province was beaten up by one of the ghazni’s governor’s bodyguards. Asadullah Jalal Zai in charge of Afghanistan’s nationaljournalistsunion says the bodyguards of Ghazni province’s governor have threatened and beaten the journalist in the past too.
The journalists of Ghazni Province say that they are consulting against such engagement with the journalists they will prohibit the news about the governor.
