Ibrahim Parhaar, Editor-in-Chief of ‘Urooj’ local radio station in Farah province was beaten by police officers.
According to Mr. Parhaar, his car was stopped by police officers while he was on his way to home, and was severely beaten.
Mr. Parham said: “I don’t even know the reason for such police behavior; because the moment they stopped my car, they started to beat me without saying a word.”
Wahid Sukoot, the representative of the ANJU in Farah says that as a result of his wounds, Mr. Parhaar was taken to the hospital and was discharged from hospital after treatment.
The officials and Police Department of Farah province have vowed to investigate the case.
