Five journalists were injured in two car accidents

In two traffic collisions near Kunduz city, five journalists were injured who were working for the national and international media in north-eastern part of the country. 

In one of the incidents which occurred on Takhar-Kunduz road, Shafiqullah Poya a correspondent for Khurshid television and the representative of the ‘National Union of the Journalists in Afghanistan’ in Takhar province, Erfan Barzgar a correspondent for Iranian Radio Dari, Nasratullah Ibrahimi a correspondet and Naiem Rahimi a cameraman for Ariana News television were injured as their car collided with another vehicle. 

Shafiq Poya who was injured in the accident reports that they were first rushed to Takhar Hospital; but because of severe injuries of Nasratullah Ibrhimi and Naiem Rahimi, the wounded journalists were taken to Kunduz Hospital. 

According to Poya, the medical condition of the wounded journalists is much better now. 

In another incident which occurred on Kunduz- Sherkhan bandar road, Sardar Muhammad Razmal a correspondent for ‘Reuters News Agency’ along with two of his colleagues were injured when their car crashed with a road side pylon. The medical condition of Razmal was also pronounced satisfactory.
