The municipal of Gardez City titled a road by the name of a Journalist ( Mr. Ziya Arman) with the help of Paktiya journalists association and provincial office of (ANJU) today morning. Mr. Ziya Arman was a well-known Media personality in Paktiya province that died due to a heart attack last winter in Kabul. Mr. Arman was the founder of first private Media (Paktiya Ghag Radio) and during past years he had permanent activities in field of Media in the country.
Mr. Arman died one week after starting the first women Radio in Paktiya province.
Mr. Niyazullah Asil Zazi, head of (ANJU) in Paktiya province says: “The road that is named (Ziya arman road) was previously called (Mahbas Road)”.
According to Mr. Zazi’s speech, Journalists and media activists of Paktiya province appreciated this action of mayor and believes that this is the first step for honoring the freedom of expression in the country.
