Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union (ANJU) held a meeting to celebrate international press freedom day, today morning in Hemand. During the meeting beside the journalists and media activists a number of provincial council and civil society members were also participated at the meeting.
Mr. Sardar Mohammad Hamdard president of civil society institutions in Helmand Province, Mr. Baryalai Helmandi civil society activist, Mr. Obaidullah Hamidi, member of Human rights commission in Helmand and Mr. Farid Ahmad Farhang president of information and culture deportment in Helmand province while giving their speeches, appreciated the efforts and activities of journalists and media activists.
Mr. Shokrollah Shakiry head of (ANJU) in Helmand province says: “during their speeches they also requested Afghanista’s National Journalists Union to strictly continue their efforts for defending the rights of journalists and advocacy institutions”.
