
Number of Herat journalists to meet Turkmenistan journalists and will travel to that country on Nawroz celebration.
The journalists will meet some government officials and media representative in this journey beside they will visit some valuable ancient in Ishqabad and Maari provinces.
These journalists consider the working and cultural relation with the media and people of region countries effective and will strengthening the relation between regional countries.
Qadir Shaheen representative of Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union in Herat says, this trip is taken place on request of Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union and invitation of Turkmenistan political representative in Herat and in this program had 7 participants from TV, Radio and publication media outlets of Herat.
He added; this trip which took 4 days was to build relationship among Afghanistan and Turkmenistan and to participate in national celebration of Turkmenistan.
He considers this trip as a start point of media relation and strengthening between two nations Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, and he emphasized that such programs can be effective on exchange of experience and recognition of culture between nations.
Turkmenistan is located in northern of Afghanistan and is among those countries which the government is financing their media outlets.
According to officials currently they have 6 TVs and few radio and publication outlets.
Herat reporters in this trip beside participating in Nawroz national celebration visited number of media outlet representative of this country and spoke on media experience sharing.
Hamayoun Nazary representative of media advocacies in west zone emphasized that one of the most basics of journalists is to know and have relationships and such trips can build more awareness and knowledge among them.
Hey says; before this trip they had less information and awareness of this countries media situations and after this trip the level of their knowledge and awareness about their media outlets are increased.
Turkmenistan journalists also consider the role of media reporters on continues strengthening of friendship relations as important and emphasized that this is the fist time that a team of media outlets from Afghanistan is visiting this country.
Also during this visit Herat media team met vice president of Turkmenistan and chief of their parliament.
Nawroz in Turkmenistan known as a cultural and national celebration and in a two days’ celebration of their cultural, national anthems, music, dance and culture of Turkmenistan people and handy craft productions, foods, animals and wearing and attraction of their local traditional are celebrated.
Also during this trip visits from national museum, tombs glimpse ancient and other valuable areas and cities such as Ishqabad and Marie in order to identify and know prosperous culture of its people.
However, journalists believe that these programs can be helpful for cultural awareness and effective to understanding of different cultures and reflect it through the media.
Before the Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union office in Herat, same program was established to maintain relationship between Iran and Afghan journalists relations by Iran government coordination which that program also included number of journalists, and daily reporters to visit cultural people of Islamic republic of Iran.
