A number of Journalists, Media activists and representative of Ministry of information and culture and some other government officials were participated in a meeting that was held for celebration of international press freedom day in Farah province. At the beginning of the meeting Mr. Ahmad Shah Fetrat head of ANJU office in Farah province discussed the challenges against freedom of expression in Farah Province and requested Journalists in this regard to strictly continue their efforts.
Mr. Fetrat included that security and lack of private media are the two main challenges for freedom of expression in Farah province. Later on, Mr. Farid Ahmad Ayoubi , director of Ministry of information and culture in Farah province congratulated the international day of press freedom to all Journalists and included: we committed to work with journalists for freedom of expression. He also appreciated Afghanistan National Journalists Union for awarding Journalists during the meeting. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Ayoubi and Mr. Fetrat distributed the awards for Journalists of Farah province.
