In a suicide attack this morning in Wazir Akbar Khan area, more than 10 media employees have been martyred or wounded.
According to the latest reports, one martyred and four wounded employees of BBC, one martyred and three wounded employees of Tolo TV, and three employees of One TV were among the casualties of this attack.
According to these reports, the nearby media stations were also damaged.
Afghanistan’s National Journalists Union (ANJU) strongly condemns this attack and considers it a crime against humanity. At the same time, ANJU asks the Afghan government to reach out the victim families and take serious measures to provide security which is a major challenge to the Afghan media.
