There was a explosion on the premises of Radio Qalam in Kama distract of Nangarhar province which destroyed the buildings and technical equipment of the Radio. Radio Qalam Officials have said that the cause of the blast was an embedded Mine in their studio. Ahmad Ziya Abdolzy spokesman of Nangarhar province governor said:
“Security officials have started serious investigations to identify the perpetrators of the case”. Afghanistan's National Journalists Union officials in Jalalabad expressed their concerns over the increasing threats against Journalists and Media outlets in the province and said that the security agencies should be more careful to provide security for journalists and media. Meanwhile, last week’s terrorist attack in Jalalabad damaged the building and archives of RTA. According to National TV officials in Jalalabad the archive of RTA is completely destroyed and other parts of the building and equipments are damaged.
