A Journalist dies in suicide attack in Kabul today

In a suicide attack in Kabul in Karte Naw locality along with a number of Kabul residents killed or injured, a journalist also died today morning. M. Shahed Naimi 20-year-old journalist who has been working with Nawa Radio and TV channel has been killed while going home from work.

Shaheed M. Shahed Naimi was studying literature in “Taleem Tarbia” university while he was working for Nawa Radio and TV channel.

During last week, it was second journalist who lost his live.

Nour Ahmad Nouri “Boost” local radio reporter and New York Times contributor was killed by unknown people last Thursday.

Journalist support organizations have shown their concerns about security of journalists after last two incidents.

M. Fahim Dashty Chief Executive of Afghanistan National Journalists’ Union (ANJU) said: “last weeks’ incidents show that how much journalists are in danger.”

He adds: “for security of journalists there is need for coordination between them all around the country.”
