During the news coverage of the technology exhibition which was held by Ministry of Higher Education, a number of journalists were subjected to violence.
These journalists who were covering the exhibition were subjected to violence and beaten by presidential guards who were escorting Bibi Gul.
In another incident, Omid Dawlatzai a reporter for Khurshid TV who was about to prepare a report on Independent Election Committee was beaten by its guards.
Afghanistan National Journalists Union (ANJU) while condemns these violence and deems it as violation of enforced laws of the country, asks the related authorities to seriously and promptly prosecute the perpetrators of such incidents.
ANJU expects the joint committee of media and government which has been established to ensure the safety and security of journalists, should seriously pay attention to these incidents.
