
More than twenty Afghan Journalists have participated a training program which was held by Deutsche Welle Akadimi with the help of Afghanistan's National Journalists Union. In this workshop which contained two training courses in tow weeks, the German instructors trained standard methods of Elections coverage to Afghan Journalists.
During this workshop, along with reporters from Kabul, a number of Journalists from Kandahar, Helmand, Panjshir, Parwan, Kapisa, Paktia, Nangarhar, Laghman, Ghor, Baghlan, Kunduz, Takhar and Bamyan Provinces were also participated.
Mohammad Faheem Dashty, Chief executive of ANJU says; “ It is obvious that the upcoming presidential election is very vital for the country and in other hands the standard Media coverage can help to a large extent for a healthy and free of corruptions Elations”.
The participants of this workshop, while appreciating the efforts of ANJU and Deutsche Welle Akadimi believes that with the help of lessons they have got during this workshop can better fulfill their duties during Elections.
Mena Azimi who came from Kundoz Province to participate this training workshop says: “ Our Journalists should uses the experience of other countries especially those which are built on foundations of democracy, so that, with standard Media coverage facilitate the democratic process in the country”.
Two months ago Afghanistan's National Journalists Union with the help Deutsche Welle Akadimi held the similar workshop in Kabul where most were from Kabul .
